I've just come back from having my hair cut. It's all short and thin and lovely. And I've got an appointment booked for May Ball but I don't see why I'll need it. My hair shouldn't have grown that long in 4 weeks should it? Oh well, it'll look sparkly anyway. April 1st, 2009:
Just when you think you understand the bus timetable you get thrown off and end up going into town to avoid waiting for an hour for a bus that you KNOW will take you where you want to be. On a brighter note - Easter holidays. Lie ins and chocolate for all. Edit: Stalker song. Ironic. Current Music: Watching You - White Tie Affair March 20th, 2009:
It's finally here!!! ABB for Durham! Yes! *happy dance* I think I'll accept my offers tonight once I have spread the good news amongst my family. This and the sun have made my day :) Current Mood: March 17th, 2009:
Durham have changed the course details on my UCAS track page. I'm excited because it means I should get an offer soon. And then I can accept it and do Student Finance at the weekend. Yes! Challenge: Following on from creative writing today I challenge anyone reading this to write a story/poem using the following words: mane, tail, flag, jug, pipe, dust-bin, nut, drum, sun. I used these two years ago to write this: ( Read more...you know you want to )
January 22nd, 2009: FREEDOM!!!!! Exams are over until the summer! Rejoice one and all! I am now going to collapse from exhaustion. And then I am going to work out what I want to do with my life. December 6th, 2008:
Went shopping today with Vic and Cia. It was nice talking to Vic seeing as we don't really communicate much when we're at school and I always find that conversation flows better when you're outside of the oppression of school. On the journey home the train was really crowded and reminded me of the poem I wrote about my time on the tube. So here it is because I promised Cia I'd show her. ( Tube )
December 2nd, 2008: Another one bites the dust I got an offer from Warwick!! AAB is higher than Manchester and Birmingham but should still be achievable. Yay me :) October 30th, 2008:
I bring tidings of more good news! Birmingham have made me an offer!!!! ABB like Manchester. I am so happy! I probably won't get news from the others for awhile though as they're more likely to wait until they've gotten applications from everyone before dishing out places. Still, I have something more solid to aim for now. Then I can move onto my next challenge of appearing well read. On another note, I demand livejournal give me back my editing tool bar! How the hell am I supposed to be able to cut things without my tool bar? Grr. Current Mood: September 22nd, 2008: Shipping Meme Since nothing really interesting happened today and I need something to cheer me up I think I'll do this meme I found a while back. ( Pairings of love and hate ) September 8th, 2008: Fanfic I don't know how it happened but I've suddenly becoming curious about the SasukexGaara pairing. I looked about but so far I've not found any good fics, which is disappointing. If anyone knows any good ones I'm open to suggestions. Anyway, I was messing about with the one sentence generator (I love that thing!) and I decide to try and write 50 sentences for SasuGaa. Don't know if it's any good but whatever. Fandom: Naruto Title: 50 Sentences of SasuGaaSasu Pairing: SasuGaaSasu Rating: T Warnings: Standard warnings apply I think. This is an experiment and I can't be held responsible for the results. Hopefully once I've finish Wicked I'll move onto the next Jim Butcher novel Cia has lent me; then I'm rereading the Otori triligy and Harsh Cry of the Heron. That's my reading sorted for a few weeks. Now time to see if I can sort out my writing. Finally, Maths is over!!!!! And if I don't take it next year it means that I shall never have to feel incompetent with numbers again! Well, until I have to do tax stuff which when I become rich and famous I can pay someone else to do. The rest of the day will now be devoted to biology. I have two past papers to do and I will finish reading my textbook and then probably go through my notes again. Might do more papers if I feel I need to. Am dreading biology slightly less than I was Maths. Don't know whether that is the subject or the fact that I now only have two sets of exams left instead of three. May 30th, 2008: Writer's Block: The Only True Question: That's a hard one. Seeing as I'm stuck in a Naruto rut I have to go with ninjas. Although I do love pirates. Ninrates! Even though for the past few days it's been cloudy and looked like rain it's remained dry. Today, however, it is raining and miserable. Not a good atmosphere for revision. Although this week is going to be more past papers than actual sitting and going over notes the weather still doesn't motivate me to work. Then again it also doesn't motivate me to write which I guess is good because that takes at least an hour out of my day if I get on a roll. I can't wait until exams are over, then I can enjoy my birthday and do all the things I want to without feeling guilty. I just hope this summer isn't like the last one where most places got really badly flooded. We live on a hill so we're OK but other places...
